Previous Campaign: The 2020 Vision Campaign
Designed for Our Mission
NIS set out with a goal to realize a dream first envisioned by our founders in the early 1960s: a school that provides the highest quality of education for the internationally-minded community in the Nagoya area. With the completion of the East Building, we have realized this dream, and in doing so, have secured NIS as a vibrant and vital school community, capable of supporting the Chubu region.
From the moment we cut the ribbon on the building - completed on schedule and in time for the 2020-2021 school year - students have been taking advantage of all the benefits the new facilities bring to the campus. With the new spaces heavily concentrated on the Arts and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), NIS is better equipped to support students while they create understanding from the world around them, drive the inquiry that fuels their learning, and inspire others to impact their communities.
A Successful Community Effort!
Thanks to the many generous supporters that included parents, staff, students, alumni, friends, and local and global companies in the Chubu area, we were able to raise ¥344,195,195 - 86% of our target!
In December 2020, we completed the official fundraising for the 2020 Vision Campaign, and we are no longer taking donations that are earmarked for the actual project. However, since we fell slightly short of our target for those who wish to contribute to the project in some way, NIS is still accepting donations through the Annual Giving Fund, which also includes the option of a Legacy Seat in the Multi-Purpose Hall of the East Building. More information can be found on the How to Support page.
Prepared for the Future
As Nagoya continues to rely on the collaboration of global partnerships, NIS is now better able to support the students of these families who will impact this growth. Thanks to the supporters of this project who came together to help us realize this dream and for the trust they showed in our vision for the future of Nagoya!
