In partnership with Cezars Kitchen, students have access to freshly prepared meals that reflect the diversity of our international community while supporting healthy eating habits and student well-being.

Fresh Meals Every Day
Meals are prepared fresh each day and offer a balance of nutrition, variety, and flavour. Students can choose from a rotating selection of international and Japanese-inspired dishes, giving them opportunities to explore new foods while enjoying familiar favourites. Menus are designed to provide balanced options for students across all grade levels, with vegetarian choices available and careful attention given to dietary restrictions and food allergies.

Peanut Free Meals
To help protect students with severe allergies, all meals prepared by Cezars Kitchen are peanut-free. Our food service team works carefully to provide a safe dining environment while supporting the health and well-being of every student. An allergy-friendly table is set aside for students with allergies should they choose to eat separately.
The Commons (Cafeteria)
Open: 8:00am-4:00pm
The Commons is the main dining space at NIS, providing students with a wide selection of fresh meals and healthy choices throughout the school day. Meals are prepared from fresh ingredients daily and suit a variety of tastes and dietary preferences.
Our menus reflect the diversity of the NIS community, combining international cuisine with Japanese-inspired dishes while emphasizing balanced nutrition, quality ingredients, and variety. Students are encouraged to enjoy familiar favourites while also discovering new foods and flavours from around the world.
More than simply a place to eat, the Commons is a welcoming space where students can take a break, refuel, and enjoy time with friends.
The East Cafe
Open: 8:30am-2:45pm
The East Café extends that sense of community beyond our students. Open throughout the school day, it provides a welcoming space where parents, visitors, and members of the NIS community can enjoy coffee, light meals, and refreshments.
Whether meeting another parent after drop-off, catching up before an event, or simply taking a moment to relax, the East Café offers another place where relationships are built and our community comes together.
The café is also home to our NIS Spirit Store, where families can purchase school apparel and other NIS merchandise.
