Dots

(2017-18 ELC Kindergarten)

When the ELC Kindergarten class read “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds, the children became interested in the main character who created art by starting with a simple dot. This inspired them to use dots in their own artwork, but one student went further and explored the work of Yayoi Kusama at home. He excitedly shared what he learned about dots and Kusama’s artwork . . .  and the next learning journey began!
