Charity Funds Recipients
Supporting the Community for over 35 years
The ACCJ/NIS Walkathon have been able to support various charitable organizations in the region over many years. Through the event, we are able to provide support for children in local orphanages, the homeless and others in need throughout the Chubu region.
Below are the 16 organizations that received support in 2025 that were announced at a ceremony held at NIS and organized by NIS 10th Grade Japanese Language students in October, 2025. The total amount of donations in 2025 was ￥4,396,804. The 2026 Funds Distribution Ceremony will be held on October 27, 2026.
Homes for Children
Social Welfare Corporation Washin Houshi Kai Washin-kan Home for Children (Nagoya)
This is a facility that provides a home-like environment for children who are unable to live with their families due to various circumstances. A donation of ￥100,000 was made to purchase book vouchers and other Christmas gifts.

Yoneyama Social Welfare Corporation - Petit Village Children’s Home (Okazaki City)
A “second home” for children aged 2 to 18 who cannot be raised by their guardians due to various circumstances. A donation of ￥200,000 was made to cover the cost of a field trip for 40 children (ages 5–18) to Minamichita Beachland and Minamichita Green Valley.

Chubu Children's Fund (Nagoya)
Provides scholarships to children, living in children's homes, in the Chubu region who wish to pursue higher education at universities or vocational schools. A donation of ￥1,500,000 was made to support educational scholarship funds.

Nagoya Te wo Tsunagu Ikuseikai (Nagoya)
Supports people with intellectual disabilities so they can live independently and participate in society. A donation of ￥100,000 was made to purchase tents for the annual "Festival of Love", attended by approximately 1,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Nagoya YMCA (Nagoya)
Conducts various activities for children and youth with disabilities. A donation of ￥100,000 was made to fully or partially subsidize participation fees for children from low-income families to attend the five-day "YMCA Summer After-School Camp" held at the Hiwada Highlands Campground in Gifu Prefecture.

Childline Aichi (NPO) (Nagoya)
Operates phone and chat counseling for children up to 18, provides volunteer training, and organizes public lectures and workshops. A donation of ￥220,000 was made to cover the cost of staff training with experts and the production of short videos aimed at children and youth - especially those who are truant - who may have difficulty seeking help.

Support for People with Different Abilities
Certified NPO Aoinokaze (Okazaki)
Provides life skills training and therapeutic support for children with developmental disabilities, consultation services related to abuse, parenting, and financial hardship, and food bank activities including distribution of food and supplies, connecting families to public support when needed. A donation of ￥200,000 was made to purchase a portable refrigerator and insulated boxes for a delivery van to ensure safe transportation of donated food to economically struggling families, single-parent households, and children’s cafeterias.

Social Welfare Corporation Asunaro (Okazaki)
Operates "Café Asunaro" as a Type B Continuous Employment Support Office, aiming to provide work opportunities for people with disabilities while fostering community interaction. A donation of ￥200,000 was made to purchase home appliances and furniture for a new shared house for women aged 15 and older who have mental or developmental disabilities and have experienced abuse.

Social Welfare Corporation Fureai Nagoya (Nagoya)
Provides a wide range of services for children and adults with severe disabilities, including day services, in-home care, a medical short-stay facility, and a pediatric home-care clinic. A donation of ￥130,000 was made to replace deteriorated lace curtains at the "Hana" day service for children with severe disabilities, improving safety and comfort by preventing seizures triggered by light and heat.

Provides social welfare services to support employment for people with disabilities. A donation of ￥65,000 was made to cover expenses for a New Year’s gathering for program participants with disabilities.

At the Yutaka Workshop, people with disabilities engage in lunch preparation, sewing, and light work. A donation of ￥300,000 was made to purchase a mid-frequency therapy device to support muscle maintenance and rehabilitation for individuals with physical disabilities or age-related intellectual disabilities.

Make-A-Wish of Japan, Nagoya Branch (Nagoya)
Public Interest Incorporated Helps grant the wishes of children battling life-threatening illnesses. A donation of ￥181,804 was made to fulfill the wishes of children aged 3 to 18 who are fighting severe illnesses.

Certified NPO Aichi Bone-marrow Bank Support Association (Nagoya)
Promotes bone marrow donation awareness, supports donor registration, and provides assistance for patients with blood disorders and their families - including medical consultation, emotional care, and support for balancing work and treatment. A donation of ￥100,000 was made to purchase Hello Kitty pocket tissues and clear files used for awareness activities.

Support for those with Needs
Certified NPO CAPNA
Provides anonymous phone and email counseling for children experiencing abuse, parents who abuse their children, and parents struggling with childcare. Also operates a temporary protection shelter and provides training for municipal staff and citizens. A donation of ￥400,000 was made to support the operation of shelters and provide emotional and parenting support for women and children affected by domestic or sexual violence.

Kakekomi Women's Center Aichi (Nagoya)
Provides comprehensive support for survivors of domestic violence, including shelter services, telephone counseling, attorney referrals, and assistance with essential items for starting a new life. A donation of ￥400,000 was made to support the operation of emergency shelters and step houses that provide long-term assistance for survivors rebuilding their lives.

Japan Service Dog Association (Nagakute)
Trains and promotes service dogs and conducts public interest activities such as animal-assisted interventions in medical settings. A donation of ￥200,000 was made to install fencing and a retractable gate at the front area of the Service Dog Training Center "Cynthia Hill" in Nagakute, ensuring a safe evacuation route for people and service dogs.
