Little Dolphins Childcare
A Caring Extension of the School Day
For many families, the school day doesn't end when classes finish. Little Dolphins Childcare provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging after-school environment where children can continue to play, explore, and unwind while they wait to be picked up. Designed for students in ELC (Preschool & Kindergarten) through Grade 5, the program combines supervised play, quiet activities, outdoor time, homework support, and opportunities to relax after a busy day of learning.
Designed Around Your Family's Schedule
Little Dolphins Childcare is designed to fit naturally into your child's school day. Students may join the program immediately after classes or, if they participate in an NIS After School Activity, they are collected by Little Dolphins staff once their activity finishes. Parents can pick up their child at any time before the program ends, knowing their child has been safely supervised in a familiar and caring environment throughout the afternoon.

A Place to Learn, Play, and Unwind
After a full day of learning, children need time to recharge in ways that suit their age and interests. Based in the Little Dolphins space on the 2nd floor of the Field House, students enjoy a balance of structured and unstructured activities in a caring environment supervised by experienced staff. Depending on the day, children may:
- Play indoors or outdoors with friends
- Visit the library
- Complete homework with encouragement and support
- Take part in games and creative activities
- Enjoy a healthy afternoon snack
- Rest or relax in a quiet space if needed
Our goal is simple: to make the time after school feel like a natural extension of the NIS experience, where children continue to feel safe, engaged, and valued.
Safety and Well-Being
The well-being of every child remains our highest priority. Students are supervised at all times by trained caregivers in a small-group environment, allowing staff to build positive relationships with every child. Health information is carefully managed, first aid is available, and children are safely escorted whenever they move between activities or locations on campus.
Just as during the school day, NIS expectations for positive behaviour, inclusion, and respect continue throughout the program.

Little Dolphins Childcare is available to enrolled NIS students aged 3 to 11 (ELC Preschool through Grade 5). To ensure the program supports families with after-school childcare needs, parent(s) must be employed and provide employment verification during registration. |
