Kidzuna Community Connection
Next Kidzuna Community Connection event:
September 28, 2:00-4:00 pm
The Kidzuna Community Connection project aims to provide opportunities for NIS to contribute to its immediate and wider community.
At each event, local Japanese children have a chance to come and enjoy a range of activities with NIS volunteer student helpers, and of course practice their English as they do so.
Kidzuna weekend art-craft events for local elementary school and kindergarten students have taken place on a regular basis from 2013, and will continue through the 2016-17 academic year and beyond. Each event has a different theme, for example, Creative Olympics, World Book Day and Earth Day.
Kidzuna events so far have been free of charge, but we encourage participants to make a donation to NIS support activities in Tohoku.
