Coco, class of 2020, is enjoying being independent, while learning the importance of managing her own time while studying at Waseda University.

René, Class of 1980, is now a grandmother living in OK, but still looks back on her time at NIS as “the best times of [her] life!

Kenta and Purusha (class of 2011) were married in 2020 and now they are enjoying the adventures of a lifetime as they travel the world together.

Jim, Class of 1977, was influenced by many teachers at NIS in a good way leading him to a job at the front line for the safety of others. 

Altamash, Class of 2017, is busy working and studying in Australia. He’s heading to medical school with dreams of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. 

David, Class of 1969, is now retired, but still fondly remembers his time and the “positives” from NIS while kicking back and listening to music.

Jaylen, Class of 2013, who attended NIS from 4th grade thru graduation, has settled in Portland (for now), and excelling with his creativity. 

Mackenzie, Class of 2008, bases his film direction and production work out of Tokyo. Telling stories is his business and traveling and meeting new people where his projects take him are the perks!

Paul, Class of 1970, was one of the students that influenced us becoming Dolphins! In retirement he still looks back fondly on NIS and through Friends of Nagoya International School, still helps out.

 Dave, Class of 1977, is enjoying riding around Japan on his “Black Pearl” when he’s not teaching

Kai, Class of 2020, is learning how to maneuver studying (engineering), playing soccer, and all-around how to stay organized and focused at the University of Queensland in Australia.

Keith, Class of 2015, has chased his goal and now is looking for his dream job in Real Estate Development.

Ashley, Class of 2013, is navigating the challenges set forth in today’s supply chain issues, while still finding time to enjoy the beaches she is surrounded by.

Eri, Class of 2019, is enjoying the variety of classes and subjects she has been able to pursue at the University of Toronto

Hiromi, Class of 1986, is untethered in her remote work but for now chooses to live in San Antonio, Texas.

Ray, Class of 2020,  is attending College  in South Carolina, finding his passions in the classroom while living his passions on the volleyball and basketball courts

Paul, Class of ’80, like many of our alumni, is giving back to the community/world. Working for a NGO in Tokyo, as with many of us, he is relying on technology for work, but also using it for pleasure.

Andy, Class of ‘82, didn’t really appreciate the situation he was in at the time when he was at NIS. Understandably, he was busy trying to navigate life growing up in Japan, but looking back, he wouldn’t have had it any other way, and NIS was a major part of that.

Hayato, Class of 2015, graduated from Boston University and then grad school at Columbia University in NYC, where he now works for a large (very familiar!) global company and enjoys life in the Big Apple.

Rika, Class of 2012, is lives in London and is experiencing first hand the diversity and professionalism of an international law firm. 

Hiroshi, class of 2015, is in London using skills honed in the NIS IB program to support recent recruits to smoothly transition into their work careers.

After graduating from Nagoya University, Akira, Class of 2017, finds herself back in Nakashidami. But this time she’s in front of the classroom receiving valuable mentorship and experience

Eimi (Class of 2015) continues to support both global and local communities in numerous ways. Eimi currently finds herself in New York working to combine her passion for helping the community and making the world a better place for us all! 

Tony, Class of 2012, is helping invest in the future while living on the road and contemplating the "work-life balance". 

After spending 13 years at NIS, from Kindergarten to graduation in 2012, Jens finds himself living his dream of being a cinematographer and video producer in New York. 

Mizuho, Class of 2009, returned to Japan after college in the US to combine two of her passions - science and writing - as an editor for a publisher of scientific and academic journals!

Natsuki, Class of 2020, is settling into a year of study at The Australian National University in Canberra, Australia.
 

Shizuko, Class of 2018, though not too far from NIS, is navigating the cultural differences she has encountered in her learning environment.

Marie-Ève, Class of 2019, is back in her home province of Quebec pursuing creative endeavors in film both in and out of the classroom.

Kumudra, Class of 2014, is inspired to work on the tough issues at the crossroads of mobility and environmental sustainability helping to make a difference for a brighter future.

Yuta, Class of 2018, is majoring in Industrial Engineering and enjoying having helpful friends and an active university life at Purdue University in the US.

Jubei, Class of 2018, is excited to finish his university studies and start his next journey working for a major Japanese company as a game designer/developer!
