Alumni Pathways

Dolphin Graduate Pathways

Like all international schools, NIS students join and leave at various points in the academic year, at different ages, and after stays ranging from just a few months to many years. No matter how long they were here, every former student is part of the NIS alumni family — whether they officially graduated from NIS or not.

NIS students continue to inquire, inspire, and make an impact wherever they go! Most graduates pursue further studies at colleges and universities in the U.S., U.K., or Canada, with a growing number choosing universities in Japan that offer English-based programs.

Below, we proudly present the newest members of our alumni community!

The NIS Class of 2025

Presenting the Class of 2025

The Class of 2025 has achieved an impressive milestone! At NIS, graduates earn the NIS diploma—recognized as a U.S. high school diploma—and also have the option to pursue the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. Most graduates continue their studies at universities in the U.S., U.K., or Canada, while others choose from a growing number of programs in Japan, the Netherlands, and beyond that offer degrees in English.

On May 31, 2025, 35 students proudly crossed the stage as the newest NIS alumni. Together, they represent a truly global community, with backgrounds from Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Ireland, Korea, New Zealand, Peru, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan.

  • IBDP Data: Out of 35 students, 25 students chose to pursue the full IB Diploma, of which 22 were successful. The highest score was 41, and the NIS average was 31.  (Global average was 30.5).
