Thank you for your interest in Nagoya International School, where we inspire and empower our students to think creatively and critically, pursue lifelong learning and contribute positively to the global community.

Together with the support of our community, students at NIS progress through their individual stages of development and learn how to articulate their dreams and engage in activities toward achieving them, demonstrate the confidence and desire to question and expand their knowledge, and choose to consistently contribute to their communities.

More than just words, our mission and objectives embody the spirit of our international community and the importance we place on the hope for our students to nurture a passion for themselves and care for others.

NIS is fully accredited by both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our curriculum is framed by the programs of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and assessed against consistent standards and benchmarks. The language of instruction is English, and our program is intended for the international and internationally-minded families of Nagoya. Graduates of NIS can be found pursuing their dreams at universities and colleges around the world, and in professions that represent all walks of life.

Enclosed is information that explains more about our school. If you have not done so already, I urge you to come and see the school and visit classes in session. Here at NIS, you will find modern first-rate facilities, and nurturing and passionate staff to support all of our students and deliver our programs.

Once you apply for admission, the Development Office will guide you child's application through the Admissions Committee for further evaluation. Please direct any questions regarding admissions or general questions regarding the school to the Director of Development.
