Our Commitment to Well-Being

At NIS we believe well-being is fundamental to nurturing positive learning. Well-being is upheld through a network of relationships and engagement in the local and global context. We believe well-being encompasses the emotional, physical, mental, social, and environmental health of our whole school community. As such we strive to uphold the dignity and rights of all, as guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and IB philosophy.

As a whole-school community, we aim to empower ourselves and others by building a safe environment that nurtures a sense of belonging in which all members are able to grow, learn, play, develop and flourish.

NIS upholds the principles of well-being collaboratively, with all community members through all aspects of operations. This means well-being is used as a lens through which all school policies, practices, programs, and initiatives are developed and evaluated.
