Walkathon Funds Disbursement
Again this year NIS was very grateful for the opportunity to welcome representatives of the charitable organizations receiving funds from the ACCJ/NIS Walkathon and representatives of several of the corporations and organizations that donated funds to the event at the Funds Disbursement Ceremony on Tuesday. Our Gr. 10 Japanese Language & Literature students were the host of this year’s event and it was a wonderful opportunity for them to connect with the charities and learn more about their important work in the community. The Walkathon, held in May of last school year, was able to raise 3.5 million yen for 17 charities and on behalf of everyone who supported the event, we extend our sincerest thanks! We look forward to seeing everyone at the 32nd Walkathon to be held on Sunday, May 21, which is an official school day this year!
