Walkathon Ceremony

On Tuesday, November 2, the NIS-ACCJ Chubu Walkathon held the final event of this year's event with the disbursement ceremony, devised and hosted by the Gr. 10 Japanese Language and Literature students, with help from the origami club. The event was held in the MPH, which accommodated the representatives of 18 different charitable organizations and several important sponsors. The students greeted their guests and commenced the ceremony in which they introduced all the organizations, what they do, and how their funds will be used this year. And they did this all in perfect honorific Japanese and English! The ceremony was the culmination of weeks of planning for the students and the 30th Anniversary Walkathon event's final event. We are already looking forward to the 31st Walkathon. Hopefully, we will have many NIS families enjoying a return to one of Nagoya's local parks for a day of fun and fundraising to support the many hardworking charitable organizations doing great work in our Chubu community.
