Walkathon Ceremony
NIS had the great pleasure to host the Fund Disbursement Ceremony for the 29th Annual Walkathon. As in the past several years, the Gr. 10 Japanese Language and Literature class challenged themselves to organize, host, and emcee the event. This year the American Chamber of Commerce and NIS sponsored Walkathon raised 6,000,000 yen to donate to 18 different charities working in the Chubu region. These small charities do amazingly important work to help make the Nagoya and surrounding areas a wonderful place to live! Thanks to Haga-sensei and her Gr. 10 JLL students, we could host this important event in the MPH while live-streaming to a wider audience through Facebook!
