SDG Project Days

Gender Equality, Climate Action, Clean Energy, No Poverty…again this year, Gr. 6-9 students challenged a variety of issues and developed their own projects around the 17 United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Students have been working on their projects during homeroom time since September - from exploring areas of interest and building teams to work on them to actually planning and developing their projects. SDG Project Days were two full days when students were allowed to focus on their projects outside of their normal classroom and students worked on their own and in teams. It was great to see students taking action, interacting with other students including Primary students, to raise awareness and make an impact on a variety of issues and topics. Some projects may have faced challenges and barriers, and things may not have gone as planned, but it was all part of the learning and we hope these experiences will help them to learn from their mistakes and develop the skills needed to be lifelong learners.
