Prepping for Project Week

MYP students have been working on the preparation for the MYP Project Week that will take place April 26-29. Here is the message from our MYP students:

Our school is in the middle of a hard time due to the current pandemic, so NIS students are trying to revitalize the school. We launched a project named “MYP Project Week”. The aim of this project is to promote student support and contribute to the NIS community. Students will split into 22 groups consisting of middle schoolers and some of the 10th and 11th graders during this project. We are working creatively to make the school even better. Among the students, there are many ideas on how to do this. Some are helping people suffering because of the current pandemic by providing mental care and informative talks on mask safety. Some students are also taking action to brighten the school by making stair art and putting artworks around the school. Whereas some students are making items to help reduce the impact of the current environmental issues.

Many of the students are grieving because many friends have had to leave NIS due to the coronavirus. For NIS students, this is like losing a dear family member. This is why we, the NIS community, are now more united than ever to fight against the coronavirus by helping each other and the community.
