Nozoe River Clean-up

Members of the Global Issues Nework (GIN) Club and the Climates Club collaborated with other interested students and staff to get out of their classrooms and into the community for a trash collection day! It was opportunity to clean up along the road leading to Shinrin Koen and also along a local river called the Nozoe River where a lot of wildlife, including fish, turtles, and birds call home. Fortunately and unfortunately, the team were able to fill a lot of garbage bags to leave the school’s neighborhood a bit cleaner. Thanks to all the dedicated students and the volunteer staff who braved the heat, tall grasses and some not-too-pleasant discoveries to make a difference in their community!
