IBDP Group IV Project

The Group IV project as part of the IBDP Diploma allows students the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams to solve problems and appreciate the environmental, social and ethical implications of science and technology. On Monday, Gr. 11 and 12 students completed the Group IV Project using the “En-ROADS Climate Change Simulator” developed by Climate Interactive and MIT. During the simulation, students took on the roles of different global stakeholders to explore the impact that dozens of policies (such as electrifying transport, pricing carbon, and improving agricultural practices) have on hundreds of factors like energy prices, temperature, air quality, and sea level rise. It was a very worthwhile and timely project for students to help them continue to have an impact on our local and global communities!
