Hakuna Matata!

The 11th grade DP Theater class had no worries last weekend as they went to watch The Lion King at the Nagoya Shiki Theater. They enjoyed a spectacular production with incredible costumes, set and performances! As part of the IB DP Theater course students need to gain experience from watching live theater productions to help them discover what kind of director they are. This then influences and informs their own visions for The Director's Notebook assignment. Watching live theater also helps students build knowledge and understanding of how productions are created and structured, which ultimately influences their own creative development of scenes and pieces of theater within lessons and develops imagination for the Collaborative Project component of the DP theater course.
