Alumni College Talk
NIS was thrilled to welcome back Wakana K. while she was home on winter break from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Wakana shared a little bit about herself, her college application journey and thought processes, and how she ended up at Leiden. She was also filled with good advice of what to expect in the first year at University in the Netherlands, including shedding light on the differences between high school and university, while explaining how NIS prepared her to navigate the challenges of her first semester. Students from Gr. 9 - 12 were able to meet with Wakana during homeroom and lunch. These sessions help get answers to questions that only their senpai (alumni mentors) can offer as they face the same decision-making process. Thanks to alumni like Wakana, we hope these sessions can help make the process a bit easier!
