Achievements in STEAM

Congratulations to Riho, Soya,  Kosei, Steven, and Kyungmin for receiving certificates of Merit in the International Chemistry Quiz (ICQ)!

ICQ is a truly international competition with papers translated into seven different languages. It is a unique chemical education activity that provides a significant focus for secondary school students on the relevance of chemistry and the role of chemists in our society. It attracts students throughout Australia and 20 other countries worldwide, including India, Germany, China, and this year, Japan!

All students receive a Certificate of Participation, and typically 40% of all entrants will receive Certificates of Merit to acknowledge their efforts at Credit, Distinction, and High Distinction levels.

NIS Gr. 12 Chemistry students participated this past August, representing NIS as the first school in Japan to participate in ICQ. We are very proud of our student's achievements: Riho and Soya received the Certificates of High Distinction, Kosei received the Certificate of Distinction, and Steven and Kyungmin received Certificates of Credit. We are so proud of all our students!
