Service and Action Club

What is service learning and how can you take action to be a good leader?  Fourth and Fifth grade students are extending their learning outside of the classroom to help the community.

In their second meeting this week, during the investigation phase students in the Service and Action Club looked around the campus and interviewed people to see what the needs of our community are. Some of the voices they heard were about trash, rules in the playground, and how to use the equipment safely. Now they are working hard to help other students understand what everybody needs to do to make the community better.

They are also really looking forward to the Leadership Conference that will be run by our high school students this weekend, a great opportunity to learn what it's like to take actions and how to be a good leader.
Service and Action Club meets every Tuesday after school and is a year-long activity. We hope more students will join and help us to make our community better.
