PYP Completion Ceremony
The Gr. 5 students had a BIG day in every sense of the word on Monday. They marked the end of their PYP journey with reflection and gratitude for their transformative Gr. 5 year and also anticipation for all that lies ahead as they ready themselves for the MYP at NIS - or their next grand adventure!
Together with their parents in the MPH, they celebrated through song, poetry, and individual speeches that helped them reflect on their journey and thank the people that supported them. Then after a bit of revelry and marking the occasion with photos with friends and family, the students cleared the MPH and it was time for the parents to learn!
The Secondary admin team was on hand to answer questions about what life in the MYP will be like, and how they can best support their budding middle schoolers. It was a lively and informative talk but above all, we hope that the main point conveyed was that there will be some significant growth in their students over the next school year and that parents should always feel that they can contact the school with any questions or concerns. For parents and students alike, the adventure awaits and we hope NIS can help them make the most of their middle school years!
