Preparing for Setsubun
The ELC Preschool and Kindergarten learned about an interesting custom in Japanese culture. It is called Setsubun, a mid-winter festival when an evil spirit or demon, called an “Oni,” visits your house to bring bad luck. The Oni is coming next week, and there is only one way to drive him away! This week, they prepared and practiced how to defeat the bad Oni and bring in good luck instead.
