Oni wa Soto!
The scary looking Oni came to visit the ELC again this year but the ELC children were so prepared and brave! They threw roasted beans at the Oni and the bad Oni ran away! February 3rd is the last day of winter on the Lunar calendar when an evil spirit or demon, called an “Oni,” visits your house to bring bad luck. But by driving away the Oni with roasted beans, you get rid of the evil spirit that carries the misfortune from the previous winter. Great job ELC students! Thank you for saving us and may this pandemic be over soon!
