Jump Rope Performances
As a part of their "Rhythm Around the World" unit in Gr. 4, students have been learning how "Expression through movement can be affected by rhythm and interests but also by culture and tradition". They were introduced to rhythmic gymnastics, and practiced elements of rhythmic gymnastics with a rope (in order to improve coordination, learn about how rhythm affects movement and how it is all connected to self-expression). Students learned how rhythmic gymnastics elements can be used in a movement composition and were willing to show their hard work and perseverance to others. Enjoy the VIDEO from the performances!
