Gr. 5 Exploring Biodiversity
Gr. 5 students ave been working hard to explore biodiversity in their interdisciplinary unit focusing on science (biodiversity) and social studies (maps and geography). They explored the scientific vocabulary around biodiversity, played games that look at food webs and food chains and went out to look at food chains in the NIS backyard. Then, this week, the Gr. 5s went on an Extended Learning Trip to Toyooka city in Hyogo to further explore biodiversity in Japan.
