Gr. 4 students are inquiring into government systems in their current Unit of Inquiry  'How we organize ourselves'. After learning about democracy they were tasked with planning the Gr. 4 Sleepover (which is happening later in February) through a democratic process. Two presidential candidates were chosen through a pre-election and political parties were then formed. Today, after a "press conference" where the candidates answered questions from voters, they had a general election and the president has now been elected! Next week, the government will take office and begin to plan the sleepover in earnest.
