Gr. 3 Kamishibai
Gr 3 students have been inquiring into various forms of storytelling as part of their UOI "How We Express Ourselves". After exploring different ways how thoughts and ideas are expressed, such as oral story telling, reading aloud, and play, they are now creating Kamishibai, a Japanese traditional way of storytelling where narrated stories are shared with sets of illustrated images. In groups, students are working together to created their own stories and drawing illustrations. It has been great to see students taking up on various roles such as a leader, planner, illustrator and a writer for their Kamishibai. We are looking forward to seeing them sharing their stories with others.
