Gr. 2 Balloon Experiment
How is science involved in creating food products? As part of their Unit of Inquiry, Gr. 2 learners are exploring states of matter to explore how resources change when they go through the manufacturing process. To build some scientific understanding of states of matter, learners conducted a scientific experiment that demonstrated the change in the direction and speed of particle movements when it comes to temperature change. Once the temperature of the glass flask rose, gas particles inside started to occupy more space and push the balloon to inflate! We are looking forward to diving deeper into starters of matter to help us understand how resources turn into products!
