Gr. 1 Storytellers
Gr. 1 students are exploring how stories influence feelings and emotions to construct their own story. This is a part of their UOI - "How We Express Ourselves." So it was great when they encountered some surprise guests this week! Ms. Johnston read the Gruffalo in Scots, and they also had a secret trip to a kamishibai show in the library. They are learning all the different ways people can express themselves. These experiences can help the students recognize their feelings and emotions as they start to write their own opinion pieces, which are also a part of the unit.
