ELC Online Playtime
Open-ended play is an important feature of the NIS ELC program. The ELC Kindergarten children have been enjoying “Google Meet Playtime” twice a week for a few weeks, when children bring something to build or draw, and then chat with each another or play either on their own or with friends nearby. Teachers are nearby to include children online and observe what is happening, but this is an optional children-only meet. Since it has been very successful, the ELC Preschool also had their first Playtime this week! It is great to see our youngest students being comfortable with the Google Meet format to engage in play with one another online in this way!
