ELC K "Moves Up" to Gr.1!

The ELC Kindergarten students experienced ‘Move-up Day’ on Thursday! It is a day when they get a little glimpse into what life as a Gr. 1 student is all about. The day included a tour of the school and to classrooms where they will be learning next year. On the tour, students got to visit some of the places they will have to travel to do Art, Physical Education, and Music. Though familiar with the Library, for some students, going around the school was quite an adventure! They also got to meet the Gr. 1 teachers and have a little fun! Each student visited several ’stations’ around the school to meet their future teachers and get a taste of what learning looks like when you move up into the world of Elementary School. Outside on the playground, Mr. Des had fun with exercise and numbers, while Mr. Charlie had a couple of fun learning games for them to do in the classroom. Ms. Brenda also introduced a Gr. 1 classroom with a fun drawing exercise, and everyone got to take home their version of a zombie robot! It was a great day, and everyone seemed eager to make the big move to the Raymond building next year. Congratulations, and good luck future Gr. 1 students!
