Endangered Species

While Gr. 1 students were inquiring about living things and what they need to survive for their UOI Sharing the Planet, a student was interested in horseshoe crabs and got really concerned after learning that horseshoe crabs and lots of other animals are listed as endangered species. To help protect horseshoe crabs, he came up with an idea to create books about endangered species, sell them and donated the profit to a conservation group that has been working on the conservation and breeding of horseshoe crabs.
Now Gr. 1 students are busy with researching, planning and making a draft of their book on endangered species in Japan. The book will be available for sale by the end of this school year and they are hoping lots of people in NIS community would buy the book to help protect endangered species in Japan.
