HS Badminton Matches
The varsity badminton team traveled to Osaka for friendly matches with SOIS and CA last weekend. For many of our team members, this was their first experience traveling to compete since COVID, and for some of our team members, this was their first competitive experience. The team split with SOIS on the first day, with our #1 boys singles winning an unofficial tie-breaker against SOIS's #1 boys single player. On Saturday, we ran into stiffer competition from CA. Although we did not fair as well as Friday, the team was competitive in all matches, and more importantly, their intensity increased in the face of challenge, and they grew from the experience. We returned home to NIS late Saturday evening in good spirits, a stronger team, and excited to get to work as we prepare for our end-of-season tournament in Yokohama the weekend of March 17.
