It was another busy weekend for Dolphin athletes, with the MS teams welcoming Canadian Academy (CA) here, and the HS teams traveling to Kobe to play CA and also OIS.

The MS girls basketball team did not win either of their two games, but they gained experience and skills to use in future games and these losses also helped them build character. The MS boys A & B soccer teams also played two games each. The boys did not win either, but they were good friendly games that allowed us to get more play experience and prepare us for the upcoming tournament.

The HS girls and boys soccer teams traveled to Kobe for exhibition games at CA.
It was their first official 11-aside matches in three years for the girls, but they responded to this opportunity well, and as usual represented themselves and NIS remarkably. Both games were competitive and all three teams playing were closely matched. The girls reflected on the first game and improved a great deal in the second. In both games, the girls were united, aggressive, and determined. We're very proud of their strong work ethic.

The boys represented themselves very well in their first game, coming from behind to beat Osaka. In their second game, a combination of overconfidence and fatigue saw them take a beating by a very solid CA side. Regardless of the results, the opportunity to play as a team will put them in good stead for the final WJAA tournament which will be held here at home on the NIS field on March 10-11.
