Women in Science Week
From the mid-20th century to the new millennium, there has been an increase in female scientists, but women are still underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the Science Department dedicated time this week to recognize the contributions women have made to some of the most crucial scientific advancements throughout the years and encourage more girls to enter STEM fields.
