Students Petition Costco
NIS GIN (Global Issues Network) students were disappointed to be 'uninvited' from a meeting involving community groups and Costco to discuss the environmental impacts of the proposed new Moriyama Costco store. With the habitat for 20+ red-listed plant species, and four endangered species of firefly at stake, GIN members remain keen to advocate. Look for the petition calling for Costco to not harm the Saido Nagare wetland going around NIS now!
