Seeking Parent Representation
Eco Committee is a completely student-initiated and organized committee that aims to create goals for the future that can help mitigate the effects of global environmental issues and create sustainable options for a greener NIS. It consists of student leaders representing student clubs such as Cli-mates, GIN and ICC, and the student councils. It also includes NIS staff including school administrators and is seeking parents representatives as important stakeholders of the school. The Eco Committee meets regularly and currently have several initiatives in the works. And though it isn’t imperative that parent representatives are physically present at the meetings, the club would surely benefit from that as schedules allow.
