NIS TED-Ed Club Hosts First Student-Led Event

Last Saturday, the NIS TED-Ed Club hosted its second annual event in Sakae. This was the first to be student-driven, as a CAS Project by two Gr 11 students. Club members were thrilled to speak before an audience of over 50 people and wish to express their utmost gratitude for the support from our wonderful NIS community - students, parents, and faculty. The Talks followed the TED theme of "What would you say if the world was listening?" Student Talk topics included being a contortionist, developing empathy, appreciating what you have, how to achieve your goals, connecting with others, and how far a simple smile can take you in relationships with others. Our students worked on their Talks for many months, spoke eloquently, and demonstrated highly advanced presentation skills. Great work TED-ED Club members! Watch the YouTube Playlist HERE.
