Mo-Vember Wraps Up At NIS
With the month of November coming to an end, so does the annual Movember moustache contest and celebration. Each year staff, students and community members sign up to grow their best "moustache" and pledge to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and mental health. Our NIS champion this year is none other than Baby Ogino! Ms. Ogino's daughter ran away with the 1 Yen vote over the last two days with her adorable milk moustache! The 1 Yen vote raised over 6000 yen in donations and the school community raised over 26000 yen!
Thank you to all of the staff who joined in the contest, the creative students putting forth their great class pet (Emo), and for our greater community for helping to raise money and celebrate the continued push for greater medical research and support. A special thanks to Mr. Hart, Mr. Radcliffe, Ms. Ogino for supporting the cause with their own face or family members!
Remember, we all need to take the hard task to be open with our health, mental or physical. There are always people out there who want to help, and you might just be the person someone else needs in their life.
