To gain a better understanding of the learning needs and learning potential of our students, NIS administers a variety of assessments to help us improve the support we provide students in their learning, and students in Gr. 3-8 are taking the MAP Growth test this week. The MAP Growth test is a computer-adaptive test that adjusts the difficulty of the next question based on how the previous question was answered. MAP Growth allows us to measure what students know, regardless of their grade level. It provides a measure of what they know and what they are ready to learn next. It measures growth over time, allowing tracking of progress throughout the year and across multiple years.
