Lockdown Drill Practice

At NIS, we are every bit as committed to the safety and well-being of our students as we are to their learning. Each year, throughout the year, we hold periodic drills to make sure all staff and students know exactly what to do and where to go in case of a fire, earthquake, accident, or security incident. Some of them are announced (on the calendar) and some of them are surprise drills. On Wednesday, the whole school took part in a “Lockdown Drill”. Like the earthquake and fire drills that we do, this drill is an essential component to being at NIS in the unlikely event that we would need to use any of our safety measures. We are grateful to all the staff and students (and any parents who happen to be on campus at the time!) to continue training to help keep themselves and others safe from harm.
