33rd Walkathon Fun!

It was a wonderful Sunday in the park for the NIS community to help make a special day for Nagoya at the 33rd ACCJ/NIS Charity Walkathon! Not too hot, not too wet, just the right type of weather to enjoy a full day at Meijo Park near Nagoya Castle in an event that helped raise funds for over 20 organizations in the Chubu region. After three NIS secondary singers led the crowd full with "We are the World", Aichi Governor Hideaki Omura welcomed everyone and thanked the organizers for their work.

NIS thanks all students and staff for making the day a special one to celebrate and support our community, and all of the many donors and supporting companies and organization who gave funds and/or supported the raffle with prizes. Together, we were all able to come together for the community yet again!

After the charitable organizations submit their requests for grants over the summer, representatives of the organizations will come to NIS in the autumn for a funds distribution ceremony led by our Gr. 10 JNL students so stay tuned for more updates!
