In the event of an earthquake, students and staff are taught to duck and cover. Students and staff are also told to move away from glass, windows, and doors, and to move toward exterior walls if in the gym.

The safety of the students and staff is our first priority. Information will be released through a variety of methods, including the phone tree, email, the NIS website, and Twitter.

At the beginning of the school year or prior to enrollment all parents must complete the "Medical Information & Permission Sheet". Parents will then be contacted and asked to provide more information. If the allergy/condition is severe the school will make a management/emergency plan for the child.
