Student-led CPR Class

A Gr. 12 student took it upon herself to help her classmates understand the basics of CPR as a part of her CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) project. As a member of the Junior Red Cross club at school, she thought that more students should be knowledgeable about saving a life if they ever encountered someone who needed resuscitation. Because of the difficulties of the current COVID state of emergency, no one from the Red Cross could come to teach the class. Using a video and Manikins sent to the school, along with additional information in English to help navigate the language differences, she did an excellent job explaining and demonstrating how to perform CPR respirations and compressions and how to use an AED to help revive a person if needed.
