Interdisciplinary Unit for Gr. 10

Who killed Wellington, the dog? Inspired by "The Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night Time" play by Simon Stephens based on the novel by Mark Haddon, Gr. 10 students have been exploring and examining how lawyers and forensic scientists must work together to prove or disprove someone's guilt in a court of law as part of their Interdisciplinary Unit in Drama and Science.

On Monday from Period 1 to 4, the MPH turned into a courtroom where they conducted a trial using the evidence they have gathered and portraying characters from the play, and present to a jury of Gr. 9 students. At the end of Period 4, the jury decided Ed Boone was guilty beyond reasonable doubt of killing his neighbor's dog and given a 6 months suspended sentence and a fine of 2,000 pounds!
