To be ready in case of a medical-related emergency, NIS conducted a medical lockdown drill on Thursday. With the help from drama students, school administrators, the school nurse, and other staff members went through a scenario where a student was injured. Then the school announced the medical lockdown, and an (imaginary) ambulance was called. The student's 'family' was also contacted. The ambulance arrived in time, and the student was safely transported to an (imaginary) hospital. We hope incidents like this will never happen on campus! But at least we are prepared in case it does. A medical lockdown drill is just one of several exercises that NIS has over the course of the year. Our sincere hope is that we never have to use these practiced skills, but in case we do, we are ready!
