International Women’s Day
On March 8, NIS celebrated International Women’s Day! Some of the Gr. 6 students took initiative to lead the school community’s recognition of the day for all to support and embrace equity. Students and staff were asked to wear purple on the day, and also write a message to a special woman in their life. Each class tied the messags together and posted them on the main gate in front of the school during homeroom. It was great to see the community coming together though these activities, and to see students advocating what they believe in.
